Description

The Jobs for Veterans’ State Grant, administered by FloridaCommerce with funding from the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service, supports the delivery of employment services for veterans, transitioning service members, and eligible spouses throughout Florida. The grant funds specialized staff positions—Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialists, Local Veterans’ Employment Representatives (LVER), and consolidated roles—across the CareerSource Florida Career Center Network. It also supports the State Veterans’ Program Office, which provides technical assistance, policy guidance, training, and monitoring to ensure high-quality and consistent services.

The program’s mission is to help eligible individuals overcome barriers to employment, develop proactive employment plans, and connect them to career and community resources. Services include case management, individualized job development, advocacy to employers, and tailored assistance for those with significant barriers to employment.
