Description
The Johann Anton Merck Award is an annual achievement award presented by the Healthcare Business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. It recognizes globally renowned external scientists for outstanding preclinical research already carried out in areas of the company’s strategic healthcare focus. It is not funding for a proposed project. When presented in the United States or Canada, it is named the EMD Serono Science Award.
The award honors Johann Anton Merck, whose pharmacy work, scientific publications, interest in innovation, and global collaborations inspired the program.
