Description
The John A. Knauss Marine (and Great Lakes) Policy Fellowship is a National Sea Grant College Program opportunity offered through Wisconsin Sea Grant. Established in 1979, it gives graduate students a year of paid work with a legislative- or executive-branch host in the Washington, D.C., area. Fellows gain firsthand experience with national policy decisions affecting ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources.
Past host opportunities have included Congress, the Executive Office of the President and federal agencies. Applicants from fields including natural and social sciences, law, engineering and communications can be competitive.
