Description
The John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship connects graduate students interested in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources with the national policy decisions affecting them. Run through NOAA Sea Grant, it places fellows in federal executive and legislative branch offices in the Washington, D.C. area for a year of professional experience.
Fellows apply their graduate training to work that may include policy, communications, program analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The fellowship is named for Sea Grant founder and former NOAA Administrator John A. Knauss. More than 1,500 fellows have completed the program since 1979.
