Description
The John Greenspan Global Oral Health Research Award is part of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Distinguished Scientist Awards, recognizing outstanding research achievements and leadership among IADR members. Supported by Haleon, it honors scientists who have made significant scientific contributions to global oral health.
Areas recognized include research addressing or reducing global oral health inequalities, social determinants, and comparisons of health systems in two or more countries and their roles in maintaining and improving oral health. The award also recognizes work common to all oral diseases rather than focused on a single disease, alongside translational, transformational, trans-disciplinary, dissemination, and implementation research targeted to global oral health. It honors Dr. John Greenspan, a past president of AADOCR and IADR and a founding leader of global oral health research groups.
