Description
The John McGuire Memorial Scholarship provides education support for high school students in the Amarillo Independent School District through the Amarillo Area Foundation. It is listed among the foundation’s county-specific scholarship opportunities under Potter and Randall counties. Selection is based on nomination by school coaches, followed by student interviews with a committee.
The foundation’s county-specific scholarship listing helps students identify opportunities based on where they live, while noting that many scholarships do not have county-specific requirements. Its shared application allows students to apply for multiple scholarships at once. The application system uses the information students provide to determine which scholarships they are eligible for.
