The program’s goal is to inform efforts to improve the affordability, accessibility, and quality of health care in the United States.

The program invites projects addressing health care costs and quality, consolidation, artificial intelligence, prescription drugs and technology, rural health, and maternal health. Its interests include the effectiveness of public and private policies, changes in care delivery and workforce dynamics, and their effects on costs, access, and outcomes. Applications outside these topic areas may also be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
