Description
The Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (JSID) and Shiseido established this fellowship in 1998 to advance dermatological research and support promising domestic researchers. Shiseido provides the grant funding.
The program covers skin aging, keratinocyte biology, pigment cell biology, hair biology and cosmeceuticals, along with basic research underpinning those fields, such as immunology. Past recipients have investigated epidermal stem cells and wound healing, skin immunity, atopic dermatitis and potential treatments for skin disease.
