Description
The Association for Iron & Steel Technology’s Detroit Member Chapter administers the Judith A. Quinn Scholarship to reward talented, dedicated students and encourage careers in the iron and steel industry. The chapter named the scholarship in 2013 in honor of Judith A. Quinn, a pioneer for women in the Detroit-area steel industry and a longtime chapter officer.
The award supports full-time undergraduate study in engineering, metallurgy or materials science at an accredited North American university. If there are no applicants in engineering or metallurgy, awards may go to eligible students studying other majors related to iron and steel production. High school seniors and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply; students may reapply each year.
