Description
The June J. and Russell W. Peterson Fund for Social Justice is administered by the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF). It supports programs submitted by Delaware organizations that serve people experiencing poverty. Programs may address one or more of five fields: jobs, housing, health care, education, and support for community members re-entering society.
The fund’s focus brings together essential services and assistance for people returning to community life, rather than limiting support to a single type of program. Proposals must align with this defined social justice purpose. Within DCF’s discretionary grantmaking process, a Grants Committee composed of community volunteers reviews proposals and makes recommendations to the DCF Board.
