The Florida Education Fund’s Junior Faculty Fellowship Program promotes excellence in teaching and research by underrepresented minorities and women at Florida colleges and universities. Fellows receive a one-year sabbatical with full salary and benefits to undertake research and training directly related to securing tenure and promotion.
Through partnerships with colleges and universities, the program supports diversification of the professoriate and encourages long-term institutional commitment to faculty advancement. FEF supports junior faculty development but does not dictate institutional tenure and promotion policies. The fellowship is intended to give faculty time to concentrate on scholarly and professional work that improves their prospects for advancement.
