Description
The Just-In-Time (JIT) Core Usage Funding Program at Washington University in St. Louis provides quick access to designated research core services for work advancing medical knowledge and improving human health. Administered through the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS), it supports preliminary data for clinical or translational proposals intended for extramural funding, and data leading to immediate, measurable improvements in patient care through quality assurance or quality improvement (QA/QI) projects.
QA/QI projects must involve Barnes-Jewish Hospital or St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Special consideration goes to later-stage clinical and translational projects conducted in human populations. Basic and preclinical projects must demonstrate a realistic path to human translation rather than solely advancing basic research.
