Description
The JVIR Resident Editorial Fellowship, supported by the Society of Interventional Radiology, provides immersive training at the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Designed for radiology trainees interested in academic publishing, the fellowship offers opportunities to shadow editorial leadership, participate in strategic discussions and decision-making, and learn scientific writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing.
Led by JVIR Associate Editor Anna Sophia McKenney and Deputy Editor Ron C. Gaba, the program combines one-on-one Editorial Board mentorship with an apprenticeship in manuscript review and editorial decision-making. Fellows complete an educational curriculum, have opportunities to co-author publications, and lead a capstone project developing new journal initiatives. The program aims to strengthen critical appraisal, study design, and manuscript development skills beyond typical clinical training.
