Description
The Utah STEM Action Center, part of the Utah Department of Cultural and Community Engagement, provides school districts and charter schools with access to selected personalized math software. The programs adapt lessons to students’ abilities and aptitudes and are intended to supplement—not replace—core classroom instruction. The grant also supports professional development in using the software.
The program aims to improve mathematics literacy, growth, and proficiency while reaching as many Utah students as available funding permits. Applicants are asked to request only licenses they expect to use effectively: students should use the software for more than 30–50 minutes a week on average, and teachers should use its data to inform instruction weekly.
