Description
The Kansas Touring Roster Visiting Artists program supports organizations presenting professional visiting artists to local and underserved audiences. Administered by the Kansas Arts Commission within the Kansas Department of Commerce, it funds opportunities for both exposure to artists and direct interaction with them. Artists may work in any discipline, including visual, literary, media, and performing arts.
Projects should strive to integrate an arts discipline into non-arts content areas, help audiences interpret an exhibition, performance, or presentation, and support community development goals. Complementary activities can include lectures, demonstrations, master classes, workshops, or other approaches that connect students and community members with the featured artist or art form.
