Description
The Kapor Foundation Research Fellowship funds journalists producing long-form investigative reports and researchers conducting research, analysis, or evaluation that informs tech policy. Projects must address CS/AI education, innovation, or governance, with an emphasis on responsible AI and tech ethics. The foundation seeks work that fills knowledge gaps about inequities in the technology sector and helps identify actionable solutions.
Projects may examine national trends or local populations and trends in Oakland, California; Atlanta, Georgia; or Detroit, Michigan, including statewide trends in those regions. The fellowship supports sustained analysis and writing, not intensive training or professional development.
