Description
The Kathryn C. Hach Award for Entrepreneurial Success is an American Chemical Society (ACS) National Award recognizing outstanding entrepreneurs who have created a commercially viable business within the chemical enterprise. Rather than funding a proposed research project, it honors achievement in creating a new product, service, company, or industry based on chemistry’s ability to improve people’s lives.
The award emphasizes positive societal and economic impact, including the creation of chemistry jobs that produce significant economic benefit. It recognizes entrepreneurship sustained by passion, persistence, and hard work, resulting in something that did not previously exist. Established in 2012, the award is supported by the Kathryn C. Hach Award Endowment, an endowed fund established by Kathryn C. Hach.
