Description
The Kathryn D. Sullivan Earth and Marine Science Fellowship is jointly funded by the South Carolina Space Grant Consortium and the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium. It supports graduate student research aligned with the NASA Space Grant and NOAA Sea Grant missions, with the goal of increasing the number of highly trained Earth scientists. The program prioritizes early-stage graduate students who are launching or advancing their research.
The fellowship seeks place-based research in South Carolina that advances understanding of Earth science and coastal issues. Students develop their proposals and conduct the research with faculty mentorship. Projects that meaningfully integrate and balance NASA and NOAA priorities receive the strongest consideration.
