Description
The Kathryn D. Sullivan Earth and Marine Science Fellowship is jointly supported by the South Carolina Space Grant Consortium and S.C. Sea Grant Consortium. It aims to increase the number of highly trained Earth scientists through graduate research aligned with NASA Space Grant and NOAA Sea Grant missions. Early-stage graduate students are prioritized to help launch and advance their research.
The fellowship supports place-based research in South Carolina that advances understanding of Earth science and coastal issues. Proposals must align with both sponsoring consortia’s research priorities, with strongest consideration given to work that meaningfully integrates or balances NASA and NOAA missions. Research quality, significance, feasibility, clearly defined goals, justified methods, and expected outcomes are central to review.
