Description
The Kathryn D. Sullivan Earth and Marine Science Fellowship supports graduate research aligned with the NASA Space Grant and NOAA Sea Grant missions in South Carolina. Jointly funded by the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium and S.C. Space Grant Consortium, and administered by S.C. Space Grant, the program aims to increase the number of highly trained Earth scientists. It prioritizes early-stage graduate students, helping them launch and advance their research.
The fellowship seeks place-based research in South Carolina that advances understanding of Earth science and coastal issues. Proposals must align with both consortia’s research priorities. Projects that meaningfully integrate or balance NASA and NOAA mission priorities receive the strongest consideration during review.
