Description
The Kidney Cancer Association (KCA) funds promising young- to mid-career investigators pursuing innovative kidney cancer research. Projects should be achievable in one year and provide sufficient preliminary data to support potential further funding. Trailblazer Awards accept any kidney cancer focus; Focus Awards address defined research questions.
The Chromophobe RCC Focus Award, offered with the Chromophobe and Oncocytic Tumor Alliance, emphasizes the disease’s biology and therapeutic vulnerabilities. The Interdisciplinary Medicine Focus Award, offered with the Michael and Ina Korek Foundation, examines lifestyle factors such as nutrition, the gut microbiome, dietary habits and physical activity, with the aim of identifying modifiable risks and clinically applicable strategies.
