Summary: Supports Kellogg faculty fellows in hosting distinguished scholars at Notre Dame for short-term visits that enrich scholarly exchange.
Key Information: Only Kellogg faculty fellows may apply, and faculty hosts must lead visit planning and coordination.
The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame funds short-term academic visits by high-profile scholars with strong records of scholarly contributions. The program supports visits that meaningfully enrich the Institute’s intellectual life and align with its core research themes, including global democracy. Visitors may deliver public lectures, keynote addresses, or seminars; participate in faculty research workshops or roundtables; and engage with undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
The program emphasizes interdisciplinary exchange and the intellectual and programmatic value of each visit to the Kellogg community and the broader academic community. Anticipated benefits include stronger faculty networks, future collaborations, and recorded or published lectures that raise the Institute’s visibility. Faculty fellows organize the visits, with limited administrative support from Kellogg for public-facing events.
