Description
The Keough-Naughton Institute National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship supports outstanding postdoctoral scholars continuing their research at the University of Notre Dame. Supported by an NEH Challenge Grant, the program has operated for more than 20 years and is administered by the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, part of the Keough School of Global Affairs.
The fellowship is open to research in any area of Irish Studies. The Institute fosters multidisciplinary scholarship related to the island of Ireland and its diaspora, including Irish literature, language, history, politics, and culture. Fellows join an interdisciplinary scholarly community and receive library privileges and access to the Institute’s research tools and network. The appointment centers on independent research, with participation in a periodic research seminar and presentation of a research paper during the year.
