Description
The Music Library Association (MLA) offers the Kevin Freeman Travel Grant to help newer members attend its national meeting. The grant supports travel and other attendance expenses, including conference registration, for people entering music librarianship who may have limited institutional support. It is funded by the Kevin Freeman Fund, endowed through contributions from MLA’s California chapters and Freeman’s colleagues and friends.
MLA gives preference to applicants who clearly demonstrate a commitment to working with music collections and services. The program also seeks to support first-time attendees and members of underrepresented minority groups.
