Description
The ASN Kidney Students and Residents (STARS) program is designed to stimulate interest in nephrology among medical students, graduate students, and residents by providing tailored career development events, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Recipients receive $1,500 in travel support and complimentary registration to attend ASN Kidney Week, the premier annual nephrology meeting. The program aims to introduce participants to the field, foster connections with mentors and peers, and encourage future careers in nephrology and kidney research. The program is held in person, and awardees are expected to attend all program events during Kidney Week.
