Description
The King Climate Action Initiative (K-CAI) at J-PAL funds rigorous research and scaling projects at the intersection of climate change and poverty alleviation. The initiative supports randomized evaluations, pilots, and policy scale-ups that generate actionable evidence and accelerate the adoption of effective climate and poverty solutions worldwide. K-CAI emphasizes projects that reduce carbon emissions, improve public health via pollution reduction, enhance adaptation to climate impacts, and expand access to affordable, reliable energy for vulnerable populations. Funding is available for research at all stages, from proposal development to full-scale implementation and scaling of proven interventions.
