Description
The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) runs the Korean Studies Grant Program to improve the quality of Korean studies and extend its global reach. It supports researchers affiliated with educational or research institutions outside Korea, connecting the production of scholarship with academic exchange, publication, and the dissemination of knowledge.
The call covers four areas: individual or collaborative academic research on Korea-related subjects; international, national, or thematic conferences and workshops; scholarly journals and books disseminating original Korean studies research; and lectures, educational programs, and cultural activities that spread knowledge of Korean studies and understanding of Korean culture. Category-specific qualifications apply, including doctoral and publication requirements for Academic Research, a research or conference record for Conference and Workshop, and an overseas publishing contract for Book Publication.
