Description
The Kreissig Award for Excellence in Retinal Surgery, presented by the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), honors clinician-scientists who have made significant contributions to the advancement of retinal surgery. Established in 2020 through an endowment by Ingrid Kreissig, MD, the award celebrates investigators who have expanded scientific knowledge in minimal surgical approaches, innovative treatment techniques for retinal diseases, and assessment of functional outcomes following new retinal surgeries. The award aims to recognize and support the next generation of leaders dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes and advancing the field of retinal surgery.
