The Kuwait Program Faculty Research Collaboration Grants at Harvard Kennedy School support Harvard faculty-led research on critical policy issues facing Kuwait and the broader Gulf and Arab regions. Administered through the Middle East Initiative, the program seeks to strengthen collaboration between Harvard faculty and scholars in or from Kuwait, including connections with Kuwait-based research institutions. The Kuwait Program is made possible through funding from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).
Research priorities include health, education, energy, environment, water and food security, and digital transformation and artificial intelligence as they relate to Kuwait and the Gulf region. The program encourages up-to-date scientific and data-analytic methods and research intended for peer-reviewed publication, preferably in open-access journals.
