It brings accomplished senior policy-oriented scholars and faculty to campus to advance evidence-based, rigorously scientific solutions to public policy challenges facing Kuwait, the Gulf region, and the world.
Visiting scholars may lead an advanced academic study group for Harvard students or pursue an independent research project related to their expertise, ideally in collaboration with a Harvard faculty member. Priority areas are health, education, energy, environment, water and food security, and digital transformation and artificial intelligence. Scholars receive a stipend, travel support, and access to Harvard’s libraries and other resources.
