Description
The Kentucky Proud Buy Local Program, administered by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA), provides reimbursement incentives for eligible purchases of source-verified food grown or raised in Kentucky. It connects Kentucky farmers with restaurants, caterers, and institutional food service buyers that purchase and use Kentucky Proud products for their customers.
The program supports Kentucky farmers and businesses involved in growing and marketing agricultural products while helping participating buyers access more local ingredients. Its food service settings include schools and hospitals. Kentucky Proud distributors that enroll in the program and help participants obtain local ingredients can also receive benefits.
