Description
This award supports translational research that advances basic discoveries toward clinical application for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). Projects must focus on either progressing therapeutic candidates to clinical study or developing technologies and tools that address key bottlenecks in FA therapy development. Eligible activities include preclinical testing of therapeutics, creation of enabling technologies, identification of biomarkers or clinical endpoints, or clinical studies of patient outcome measures. The award is named in honor of Kyle Bryant for his contributions to advancing FA research translation.
