The Association for Laboratory Medicine’s Research and Innovation Grant supports high-quality, original, ethical research in laboratory medicine. Administered by the Scientific Affairs & Clinical Practice Committee, it prioritises projects with the greatest potential to improve patient outcomes and produce high-quality publications that demonstrate the generalisability of results and extend research benefits to a wider patient population.
The programme encourages multidisciplinary and multicentre research, industry collaboration, and partnerships between the public and private sectors. Applications should reflect the Association’s values of innovation, sustainability, inclusion, care for people and care for the planet. Funding supports equipment, services and research materials for original investigations, rather than kit or test validation or verification.
