    Description

The Lafayette Fellowship supports up to 30 outstanding American students for one year of master’s-level study at leading French partner universities across STEM, humanities, social sciences, and the arts. The program is open to both Francophone and non-Francophone candidates, with courses available in French or English. In addition to academic study, fellows participate in the French-American Leadership Program—a year-long series of lectures, masterclasses, site visits, and mentorship—providing full immersion in European innovation, culture, and policy. The Fellowship aims to deepen transatlantic academic and cultural exchange, foster future leaders, and encourage engagement with major global challenges including sustainability, health, security, democracy, digital technologies, and AI.
