Key Information: Projects must support work within the Lake Champlain Basin and directly address the plan’s research tasks.
The Patrick Leahy Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP), in coordination with the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC), invites research pre-proposals addressing complex challenges facing Lake Champlain and its watershed. The program seeks innovative and effective projects that directly address research-oriented strategies and tasks in Opportunities for Action: An Evolving Plan for the Future of the Lake Champlain Basin and contribute to LCBP’s mission.
Pre-proposals should address one or more specific priorities within the research tracks in Section III of the Request for Pre-proposals (RFPP), or apply under Track 1, General Opportunities for Action. LCBP anticipates multiple awards, with selected pre-proposal applicants invited to submit full proposals for projects beginning in early 2028.
