Description
The AASLD Foundation supports new, highly innovative research on the etiology and/or pathogenesis of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). This project-based award funds small-scale exploratory basic science, clinical, translational, and outcomes research with potential for high-impact results but little or no preliminary data to compete for other funding.
The award is intended to test previously unstudied ideas or approaches, not extend ongoing laboratory research. Projects should generate sufficient data for longer-term grant applications and be achievable within one year. Highly innovative, high-risk/high-reward work is prioritized. The 2027 program is supported by the Lalit and Anubha Gupta Family Foundation.
