Description
Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grants help create and improve park space in Pennsylvania. Funding can support acquiring land for a new park, developing a new park, or rehabilitating an existing park.
Established in 1965, the LWCF state assistance program is a federal funding source distributed to states by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) administers the program within the commonwealth, directing this support to park acquisition, development, and rehabilitation projects.
