Description
The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is a federal-state partnership program administered in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department (OTRD). LWCF provides competitive, reimbursable matching grants for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. Funding supports projects that expand access to parks, trails, and open spaces for outdoor recreation, in alignment with state and local priorities identified in the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). Eligible applicants include municipalities, counties, state agencies, federally recognized tribes, and public universities. Projects must be accessible to the public and remain dedicated to outdoor recreation in perpetuity.
