Description
This grant program, administered by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Lifelong Learning, funds the Landmarks of American History and Culture and Summer Institutes. The program supports residential professional development institutes or workshops for K-12 educators or higher education faculty. Funded projects are designed to deepen participants’ understanding of significant humanities topics and strengthen teaching and scholarship. Each funded project must be held in two consecutive summers (2028 and 2029), convening a new cohort of participants each year. Projects may run one to three weeks and must be primarily residential, although virtual orientation or follow-up sessions are permitted.
