Description
The Landscape Partnership Grant is administered by the Massachusetts Division of Conservation Services within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA). It supports partners working together to acquire property interests in large, unique, unfragmented landscapes. Eligible acquisitions include land in fee simple and perpetual conservation, agricultural preservation, or watershed preservation restrictions.
The program advances connectivity among conservation lands to sustain ecosystem integrity and resilience, protect biodiversity, and support local farm and forest economies. It is intended for complex, large-acreage projects beyond the scope of other state land grant programs. Priorities include undeveloped land, farms and forests, drinking water resources, rare species habitat, climate mitigation and resilience, meaningful partnerships, municipal involvement, long-term stewardship, and public access for passive recreation.
