Description
This program funds collaborative projects that secure large, unfragmented conservation landscapes in Massachusetts. Eligible activities include the acquisition of land or property interests (fee simple, conservation restriction, agricultural preservation restriction, or watershed preservation restriction) for conservation, forestry, agriculture, or water supply protection. The program emphasizes partnerships between municipalities, non-profit organizations, public water suppliers, and government agencies, aiming to foster landscape-scale conservation, climate resilience, and long-term stewardship. Projects must meet minimum acreage requirements and provide public access for passive recreation.
