Description
Funded by the U.S. Forest Service and administered in Nevada by the Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF), Landscape Scale Restoration grants support collaborative, science-based work in priority rural landscapes. Projects may restore forests and rangelands, improve watershed and riparian health, reduce wildfire risk or invasive species, and improve wildlife habitat. They must advance priorities in Nevada’s State Forest, Range & Watershed Action Plan.
The western competitive process emphasizes measurable, on-the-ground outcomes and partnerships across land ownership or management boundaries. Education and outreach may support a restoration project, but should not be its sole outcome. NDF accepts preliminary proposals year round; the federal submission period has not been announced on its program page.
