Description
The Board of Directors of Language Learning offers competitive, relatively rapid financial support for early-career research in the language sciences. The program emphasizes innovative and significant research ideas, creative and valid approaches, and potential for further research. The journal’s scope encompasses first and second language acquisition in naturalistic and tutored contexts, welcoming perspectives from linguistics, psychology, anthropology, cognitive science, education, neuroscience, and sociology. Its focus is on understanding language-learning processes through language performance data. The grant also supports Open Science practices by requiring plans for sharing research data and materials, with justified exceptions.
