Description
The Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture offers the Lapidus-OI Fellowships to support advanced graduate students conducting archival research related to early American and transatlantic print culture. Made possible through the support of Sid Lapidus, the awards help defray research-related travel expenses rather than provide general-purpose graduate funding.
The program offers two research categories: Slavery and Print Culture in the early American and transatlantic world, and early American and transatlantic print culture more broadly, including authorship, production, circulation, and reception. Up to four fellowships are awarded in each category annually. Graduate students working at institutions in the United States or abroad are encouraged to apply.
