Key Information: Applicants need a permanent Danish research position, salary coverage throughout the grant, and 3–5 committed core users.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports the establishment and maintenance of open-access research infrastructure to strengthen Denmark’s research environment. The programme funds advanced equipment and facilities, qualified technical assistance, and continued development and maintenance. It also aims to benefit local, national, and international research communities unable to invest in comparable infrastructure.
Infrastructure must enable research addressing cardiometabolic disease and healthy lifespan, drug-resistant and respiratory infections, stem cell-based treatments for chronic diseases, nutritious food with minimal land use and environmental impact, sustainable biomanufacturing, or quantum technologies for health or sustainability, including resilient quantum supply chains. Fundamental research with potential future applications in these themes is supported. Relevant disciplines include biomedicine, clinical science, natural and technical sciences, data and computer science, and AI. Applications must explicitly explain the connection to these strategic themes.
