Brown University’s Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) runs the La(s) Frontera(s) Initiative Grants for 2026–27 to support research and programming exploring borders in Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative centers on the lived experiences of fronteras, understood as geographic, cultural, linguistic, or conceptual borders, with particular attention to borderlands, migration, and transnationalism.
