Description
This grant provides significant operating and capacity-building support to new and emerging cultural and science organizations based in King County, Washington. Designed to strengthen the mission, structure, and sustainability of organizations that bring innovative or underserved programming to the region, the program offers three years of unrestricted operating funds, technical assistance, and capacity-building resources. The goal is to foster a more equitable, innovative, and diverse cultural and scientific ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on public benefit and advancing equity, especially in historically underserved communities and geographies.
Organizations are selected through a competitive peer review process that evaluates quality, innovation, feasibility, public benefit, and equity. The program is not project-based and cannot be used for capital expenses, fundraising, or religious instruction.
