Description
This program funds preclinical research designed to advance promising therapeutic candidates for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) toward clinical readiness within 2–3 years. Both academic and industry investigators may apply, provided they have a candidate therapy ready for preclinical evaluation and a clear translational plan. The program focuses on projects with strong biological rationale, robust pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic data, and a defined path to clinical development, including essential “go/no-go” milestones. Collaboration and open data sharing are encouraged, with preference given to innovative approaches likely to deliver clinical impact for ALS patients.
