Description
Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) jointly support early-career investigators in translational clinical-oncology research. The program seeks immediate, relevant improvements in lung cancer care or molecular interpretation of clinical trial results to inform future trials. Research areas include molecular risk assessment and diagnostics, early detection, curative-intent therapy, predictive features for targeted or immune therapies, metastatic disease outcomes, reduced treatment side effects, and causes of non-smoking-related lung cancer.
Special consideration goes to projects with potential near-term patient impact, particularly those that could rapidly advance to or incorporate a prospective clinical trial. Projects improving access to care, patient outcomes, or directly benefiting underrepresented populations also receive special consideration.
