Description
Alzheimer’s Research UK supports ambitious, science-led networks that bring dementia researchers together around shared scientific priorities, challenges or capabilities. Networks should focus on biomedical and/or clinical dementia research with potential to advance understanding, diagnosis, treatment or prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. They may be newly formed or build on existing collaborations, but must demonstrate a strong rationale and added value beyond existing partnerships and networks.
The programme aims to connect researchers across disciplines, institutions, sectors and career stages, supporting nationwide activity with potential international involvement. Alongside scientific collaboration, networks can strengthen research culture through early-career researcher development, public involvement and engagement, and equity, diversity and inclusion. Funding supports the people, activities and infrastructure needed to deliver the network rather than direct research projects.
