Description
The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) runs this voluntary lead-testing program with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act. It works with schools and child care facilities to sample drinking water and identify lead at outlets that may not have been tested individually through public water system sampling. SCDES has offered sampling and laboratory analysis at no cost to participating locations.
